For new plants complete design, engineering and support are available including:

  • Process plant specification
  • Process plant design
  • Aeration system specification
  • Aeration system design, engineering and technical drawing etc.
  • Project management
  • Air main design
  • Blower specification and supply
  • Total system supply
  • Site installation services
  • Plant commissioning
  • Assistance with process commissioning
  • Ongoing operational support

Existing Aeration Systems.....

Two key characteristics of any plant's existing aeration system:

  • It is vital to achieve a compliant final effluent
  • It can consume up to 60% of the total site power

Aeration systems operate in an environment where biological growth is encouraged to treat the wastewater, therefore the diffusers are themselves prone to biological growth or bio-fouling. If allowed to persist and develop, bio-fouling will increase the pressure drop across the diffuser and reduce the oxygen transfer efficiency, resulting in increased aeration operating costs and a reduced operating life of the diffuser units.

Aquatreat Environmental Engineering Ltd offer a range of independent and expert audit and contract maintenance services for all types of aeration system. This ensures that you will minimise the aeration plant ownership costs and maximise the viable operating life of the plant assets.

Minimise Your Costs

Aquatreat engineers have extensive experience in designing, installing, commissioning and maintaining many types of aeration system. This expertise is available to plant owners and operators under different types of audit, inspection and maintenance contracts.

Planned Inspection and Maintenance

Are you fed up with the high ongoing and unplanned costs associated with maintaining your effluent treatment plant?

Like many plant owners, if your answer is "
YES!" then read on to find out how to get AND keep your costs to the absolute minimum.

Planned maintenance of your aeration system will extend periods of trouble free operation and minimise both plant down time and operating costs. Regular maintenance and reporting enables the early identification of any plant problems or potential failures and provides you with an early warning before the problem either occurs or results in a more serious failure.

With regular maintenance and reporting regimes you can be confident that your plant ownership costs are minimised AND you will benefit from the maximum viable operating life of the plant.

Unplanned Maintenance

As part of a maintenance contract Aquatreat engineers can be made available to resolve any issues associated with unforeseen or unplanned events. We hold most major items in stock so you can have the peace of mind that experienced engineers are equipped to ensure minimum disruption is caused to the day to day operation of your plant.

Services available for your aeration system include:

  • Aeration hire to maintain effluent consent
  • In-situ refurbishment / replacement of damaged pipework and equipment
  • Cleaning and/or replacing the diffusers
  • Leak and pattern inspection and testing
  • Inspection and evaluation of equipment
  • Expelling sludge from the air main and diffuser system
  • Modify plant if appropriate to avoid recurrence of any failures

All events will have a report on probable cause, likelihood of recurrence and potential consequences on other aspects of the plant and process.

Specialist System Tests

Extended periods of operation leads to diffuser bio-fouling. This fouling results in an increase in pressure loss across the diffuser system and a reduction in oxygen transfer efficiency. Both these scenarios result in higher operating costs i.e. wasting money.

An ongoing maintenance programme including periodic forensic tests on the plant diffusers both in situ and in our lab helps to refine the most appropriate maintenance regime for your plant . This enables you to decide when it is most economically viable to clean or change the diffuser elements. All testing and evaluation are undertaken without disruption to your process.

Using this monitoring as part of an ongoing package will allow you to maintain the lowest ownership cost of your plant and forecast when is the best time to undertake any refurbishment work. You will be confident of the actual results you will achieve
before undertaking any work and therefore can prioritise refurbishments accordingly. CLICK HERE to find out how you can ensure you are not paying more than you should be to operate you process.
