The aerators can have a fixed mount or can float on the surface of the tank or lagoon. The aerators are designed to deliver efficient aeration and intense mixing below the water surface which improves the overall aeration performance of the unit. The aerators have a non clog design to provide you with years of trouble free operation. The net result of these features mean that the overall plant operating costs are kept low.
For greater plant control and performance the aerators can be supplied with drives to vary the speed and control your tank or lagoon dissolved oxygen (DO) level. This means you can optimise the power useage by only using the aerator when required at a speed to match the process demand.
The aerators can also be designed and operated for intermittent aeration and mixing by changing the direction of rotation. This is beneficial in plants where denitrification is required to meet tighted effluent consent. Typical applications include SBRs (sequencing batch reactor) and tanks designed to operate both aerobically and anoxic / anaerobically.
With this mode of operation the plant operator does not need to purchase additional mixers as the same unit will provide both duties. This means your capital and ongoing maintenance costs are kept to a minimum.
With the floating aerator option, the tank or lagoon does not need to be emptied for installation. The units can simply be installed in the shortest time without any disruption to your plant. The aerator is simply placed on the water surface, located using tie off points around the lagoon / tank and the power connected. The aerator can be operational in less than one hour from arriving on site.
