Electro Osmosis Dehydrator

(formerly ELODE)

The award winning Electro Osmosis Dehydrator is a revolution in sludge dewatering and treatment. It is the only "Field Proven" commercialised electro osmosis dehydrator capable of treating all kinds of wastewater sludges including:

  • Municipal Wastewater Sludge
  • Livestock Wastewater
  • Paper Mill
  • Food and Beverage Solids / Liquid Separation
  • Wastewater from Dyeing and Painting Processes
  • Chemical Manufacture based Wastewaters
  • Pharmaceutical Derived Wastewaters etc.

The electro osmosis dehydrator drives off both free and absorbed water from the sludge producing a final product of 40-65% ds (percent dry solids). For biological sludges the dehydrator is also capable of high levels of pathogen kill.

This means that the final volume of sludge can is reduced by 50-66% compared to conventional dewatering processes. This in turn means that municipal and industrial plants are able to
reduce their current sludge recycling and / or disposal costs by 50-66%.

Additionally for municipal waste water treatment works (sewage treatment plants) the electro osmosis dehydrator has demonstrated high levels of pathogen kill which will help contribute to the works sludge treatment requirement before it can be recycled to agriculture. This means that it could be used as a stand alone process or to assist existing sludge treatment plants by either achieveing higher levels of performance or by increasing the plant throughput capacity.

Electro Osmosis Dehydrator Summary

  • Instantly reduces your sludge recycling / disposal costs by up to 66%
  • Achieves high levels of pathogen kill
  • Big reduction in landfill costs
  • Compact plant footprint
  • Produces sludge in a form that could potentially be used as a resource (i.e. fuel) as opposed to a costly waste
  • Finance packages available
